Cognitive Assessment


We offer assessment services for ages 6 and up. Cognitive assessments provide a comprehensive evaluation of thinking skills, including areas of strength and difficulty. This also frequently includes an evaluation of academic achievement and learning difficulties. Results are often used to inform recommendations for support in school, occupational, and home settings. 

Typical referrals for assessment include: 

  • Dyslexia & Learning Differences 
  • Giftedness 
  • ADHD 
  • Child/Adolescent Behavioral, Emotional and School Problems

  • Psychiatric Medication Evaluations 
  • Testing for Autism Spectrum Disorders 
  • Child Custody Evaluations

  • Court Mandated Evaluations

Participate in a brief screening interview

One of our staff members will call you within 7 business days to tell you more about our clinic and our policies. They will then ask you some questions related to the type of service you are seeking and your current concerns. They will also inform you of your fee. This information is then discussed with our directors, who will make a decision based on student training needs.

You can expect a follow up call within a week of the phone screen to let you know whether we will be able to place you right away, put you on our waitlist, or give you referrals to other clinics.

What do services cost?

The cost of services is determined by a sliding scale based on income and the amount of people in the household supported on that income. The fee for assessment ranges from $600 to $1,800You will be informed of your fee during the initial screening interview.
