PAIS Building

A nonprofit mental health clinic serving the Atlanta community since 1965, the Emory University Psychological Center offers evidence-based, culturally responsive psychological services at reduced cost.
About Us
As a training clinic within Emory University's Department of Psychology, services are provided by doctoral students in the clinical science program under the supervision of licensed clinical psychologists. We are committed to making high-quality mental health care accessible and inclusive, with a focus on serving individuals from diverse backgrounds. Our fees are determined using a sliding scale based on income and household size.

Individual Therapy

Our short-term psychotherapy services are designed to support individuals in gaining insight into their behavioral patterns and interpersonal dynamics. Through a collaborative and focused approach, we apply evidence-based intervention techniques tailored to each person’s unique goals and needs. The aim is to promote meaningful change by addressing challenges that may affect daily functioning, relationships, or overall life satisfaction.

Cognitive Assessment

We offer assessment services for ages 6 and up. Cognitive assessments provide a comprehensive evaluation of thinking skills, including areas of strength and difficulty. This also frequently includes an evaluation of academic achievement and learning difficulties. Results are often used to inform recommendations for support in school, occupational, and home settings.
