This tutorial is designed to help you learn about the central limit theorem and its importance for testing hypotheses. The tutorial begins with the definition of the central limit theorem. It is followed by demonstrations of three important properties of the central limit theorem that are important for you to understand. We recommend that you begin with random sampling as it is important to understand this before you proceed to learning about increasing sample size and different populations. The tutorial ends with a summary of all of the all of the properties and their importance for hypothesis testing.Once you understand the properties of the central limit theorem, you should test your knowledge by doing the practice exercises.
