Dr. Manns received his B.A. from Santa Clara University and completed his Ph.D. at the University of California, San Diego in 2002. He did a postdoctoral fellowship at Boston University from 2002 to 2007. His research focuses on electrophysiological recordings in rats performing memory tasks and has addressed how activity in the hippocampus allows us to encode and retrieve specific information about individual items.
